BUILD YOUR LOADOUT

Hood Warfare 2 Weapon Unlocks: Levels, Attachments, Skins

Reputation levels unlock weapons and equipment. Weapon challenges unlock attachments. Kills with each gun unlock its skins. Check which track owns the item before you start.

Three tracks, three different jobs

A weapon or equipmentReputation levelThe requirement shown for that item
An attachmentA weapon challengeThe gun and challenge named in its requirement
A weapon skinKills with that gunThe relevant gun's skin progress

These categories come from the developer's Steam description. They do not establish every item's exact unlock level or kill threshold. Use the game's current item requirement for that detail.

Plan an unlock before entering a match

  1. Pick the item you actually want. Be specific: a new weapon, an attachment for a gun, or a skin. “Level up my gun” is too vague to tell you which task matters.
  2. Read its requirement. Record the item name, required action and progress currently displayed. Check whether it names a particular weapon.
  3. Equip what the requirement calls for. If the target is tied to a gun, do not assume another weapon's activity contributes.
  4. Play a short session and check the counter again. Compare like with like: the same item, same track and same condition. This is especially important before relying on bot matches.
  5. After unlocking, check the available setup options. An unlocked attachment and an equipped attachment are different states. Confirm the actual loadout you are taking into your next match.

Choose attachments for a question you can answer

The official listing names sights, magazines, grips and suppressors among the customisation options. Rather than copying an unsupported “best build,” choose a practical question: is the sight picture easier to use, or does this setup suit the encounters you are practising?

Change one option at a time and keep the rest of your setup stable. That is a comparison method, not a claim about hidden recoil, damage or movement modifiers. The exact benefits should come from the current in-game description or a clearly documented test.

A magazine, sight and suppressor are not interchangeable goals. Read the requirement for the specific attachment rather than assuming every attachment unlocks from the same activity.

If the expected progress does not appear

Missing progress on the match-end screen? The developer's patch 1.0.10 notes say that progress sometimes did not display correctly at the end of a match, and that this display issue was fixed. The same patch addressed loadout presets not saving. That is a specific historical fix, not evidence that every current challenge failure has the same cause.

Update the game before testing again. Then compare the item or challenge's own requirement and counter before and after a short session, rather than judging solely by the match-end screen. If a loadout appears different from the one you selected, check the equipped weapon and attachment before the next attempt.

First check that you are reading the correct track and using the correct weapon. Then compare the exact wording of the condition with what happened during the session. Keep a note of the mode and any relevant settings.

If the condition still appears to have been met, use the game's official Steam community/support route with the item name, version and a concise description. Do not install an unofficial “unlock fixer” or assume somebody else's save file is a safe solution.

Bot-match credit is not guaranteed by this guide. The developer's public description confirms bots and the three progression tracks separately; it does not establish that all challenges count in every bot configuration.
